In the important period of promoting high-quality development in various industries through
the “dual carbon” initiative, the carbon emissions in the process of highway construction cannot be ignored.
Based on the calculation models of carbon emissions in different stages of highway subgrade construction,
the proportion of carbon emissions in the project was analyzed. The results showed that the energy
consumption and output of raw materials such as cement and sand and gravel were the main influencing
factors of carbon emissions, and the influence of transportation distance of materials on carbon emissions
could not be ignored, with the carbon emissions from raw material production accounting for
88.24% of the total emissions, the materials transportation (an average transportation distance of 1 km)
accounting for 8.51%, and construction process accounting for 3.25%. To reduce carbon emissions in
the process of raw material production and transportation, some suggestions were put forward such as controlling
transportation distance, improving production technology and adopting new energy equipment. |
